Captain America: The Winter Soldier‘s teaser trailer is out!
And it teases, yes it does.
We see more of the blond-haired, blue-eyed wholesome goodness that is Steve Rogers speaking out for what is good and right in the world against S.H.I.E.L.D.’s modus operandi, as seen in his exchange with Nick Fury below:
“We want to neutralise a lot of threats before they even happen.”
“Thought the punishment usually came after the crime.”
“S.H.I.E.L.D. takes the world as it is, not as we like it to be.”
“This isn’t freedom. This is fear.”
Other glimpses: Cap jumping off a plane a la The Avengers, this time without a parachute; S.H.I.E.L.D. under attack, including from within; Nick Fury on the operating table; a flash of Anthony Mackie as the Falcon; more of Black Widow being kick-ass; the Winter Soldier being scruffy, unkempt, and silently lethal; THE HELICARRIER BEING DESTROYED. First Tony Stark’s house in Iron Man 3, then Asgard in Thor: The Dark World, now this: will Marvel never stop destroying its major landmarks?
I feel they should have chosen a more exciting piece of trailer music, but I can live with that. I detest Scarlett Johansson’s new long, straightened hair though — she should have kept her shorter and chicer hairdo in The Avengers — but I will have to live with that.
Captain America: The Winter Soldier opens in Singapore on 3 April 2014.
